I miss my kitty

Working in a pet supply store is really a lot of fun. It is a bit more boring than I would like as far as keeping busy goes, but after being in a job where I had to ring a certain amount sales each day to keep my standard pay I am not going to complain.
Working this job is a bit dangerous though because I am an animal lover. I feel like a big kid everytime that door opens and I see a dog come in. Some times they just walk past, but usually the dogs are just as happy to see me. They come runnning in ready to give kisses which I always return (if the owner doesn't
mind) with a treat. We keep bits of dog biscuits for them and it makes for a happy dog. We also had a few cats come in last week. One which was offered to me for free if I would take it home. That was tempting, but I know right now being in my daughter's home I can't have one. Hopefully things will change soon and we will be able to move into our own apartment. First thing on the list for me is to adopt a kitten. I am already thinking of names.
In the mean time I miss not having a pet in the house, so I took a walk down memory lane and found some pictures of pets I have had in the past. I am posting a few photo's.

This first one is Dusty. Dusty was always a dumb dog. He would run away every time the door was open. We had him a year or so when one day while I was getting in groceries in he took off on me. We started looking for him within 5-10
minutes but he was gone. We searched everywhere, but couldn't find him. We think someone stole him.

The next dog is Gretchen. Gretchen was a sweet baby. She loved us but could never get inside and outside straight. She went out to play and came in and peed. We kept her out sometimes an hour and she would still go on the carpet. We put up with it about a year then we had to give her away. I just couldn't take it any more. I cried for a few days over that one.

Last but not lest is Buster. Buster is my baby. We paid big bucks for him. He was a good dog, and I hated to lose him. We gave him to friends when we made this last move. It was really hard on us to lose him but I know he got a good home. I get emails from my friend on how he is doing. I am happy to report he has adjusted well.
The pictures of the cats are Whiskers

and Miss Kitty
I have had there pictures on here before. We had to let them go too when we moved. Every time I have to give a pet away, I swear to myself that is the last one. It hurts when we no longer have them to love. Even time though I find myself getting another pet. I already know I am getting a cat. I won't even try to fool myself by saying no more. I am to big of a sucker. I like pets better than I do most people. Especially lately ha ha.

Aaawww, what gorgeous photos. I can imagine how hard it must have been to give away your pets ... I don't know that I could've done it. I cried for weeks (and still often do) when we lost our old 16 year old kitty a year and a half ago. Although we now have another cat, I still miss the other one. I hope you can get another kitty soon. Life's more fulfilling with a pet, I feel.
Take care, meow
