Lady Of Shalott

We have this painting on our wall too. For us though, loving the song preceeded its purchase.
I recently got to hear this sung live when Lady Rose and I attended a concert. It was a wonderful experience.

I was going to buy the picture of the Lady of Shalott this fall but instead bought JW Waterhouse's Ophelia. But I will still get the Lady of Shalott someday!
P. S. I am always spelling it Shallot but that would be Lady of the Onion.

I always hear this song and think of the scene in the Anne of Green Gables movie where Anne & Diana & a couple of friends decide to act out part of the poem..... Then Gil comes along & saves Anne in his little skiff when hers decides to spring a leak. *grin* Sorry.... childhood reminisces.
