Surprises
I had the most wonderful surprise today when I checked my mail. It was a notice that I had a package waiting to be picked up. I couldn't believe it. I was so excited, I jumped in my car and raced to the post office to pick it up.
The reason I was so excited was a while back Robyn of Tales of Ingelwood hosted a Fairy Swap. I signed up and waited and waited and waited. A lovely lady name Kathyann had my name and lives in the UK. She had sent the package over a month ago and it never showed up. Much to both of our disappointments. I had given it up for gone, but today the fairies must have realized that the beautiful things she had put in the box were for me and not them and sent it on its way.
When I got the box, I saw right away why they wanted to keep everything for themselves.
It was full of wonderful beautiful things. Buttons and ribbon, bits of cloth, incense, lovely silk fabric, a recipe book, buttons, sticker's tiny hooks, oh more lovely things than I can even name. I was so overwhelmed. I didn't know what to look at first!!
Here are so photos for you to see. And I want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU THANK YOU. to Kathyann, and a special THANK YOU to Robyn for hosting the swap

I am so happy to hear that the fairies returned your present.
It looks like such a nice collection of goodies
It makes me so happy when you are over joyed!. love it.
So what are you going to make with the stuff?
Bunch of neat stuff! Is it for card making or what?
Swaps are so much fun and look like you got some neat fairy stuff.
I haven't done any swap recently money been tight here.
Wow! That was one full package! just heard today that my sister sent me a package. I can't wait. :)
I am so glad that the package arrived as I know Kathyann was excited when she sent it.. but things come when they are meant to and it seems at the right time for you now!
enjoy it all xo
Hi Patty,I'm am so relieved that you have your parcel at last!So glad you like your suprises, all the items are taken from my home, the cookery book and wooden spoon,I used regularly as you could probably tell! I sent two broches as I thought you could give one to your mum as a pick me up after her illness!Did you notice that the wooden tube twists off to reveil some very old crochet hooks! The material will look just right for your alter,I am so pleased you liked it! I would certainly take part in more swaps especially when they are things sent that are personal,it didn't cost anything to put together as I already had the things I sent but I had so much pleasure in putting it all together! It was a piece of my home to yours! So pleased the faerys finally got it to you! Love from Kathyann and the girls
This was so sweet! We seldom have thiuese surprises nowadays, soit must have been the best, like a little girl getting a gift! :) Thanks for your lovely comment on my "H" post! I used to be like that, a badhand to plants, but I persisted, and now they're getting there! Oh! Must one thing: I have only one son, Lucas. Those pics were taken with a lapse of five months, that's why he looks so different from each other! :))
Kisses from Nydia.
I'm glad you got yours finally. I never did get mine. :{
I "met" Kathyann through Robyn's blog. She is a sweetie! Enjoy!
