Monday Monochrome
While I was out blog suring this morning I ran across a new Meme that will done every Monday. It is called Monochrome Monday and can be found HERE This is the first week it is being done. The idea is to post a monachrone (black and white photo) on your blog with a link back to the host blog.
It should be a lot of fun.
I don't think the photo has to be old as long as it is done in black and white/monachrone but I love the old ones and since I have a few I thought I would start with this one of my Grandpa and his brothers and sisters. Probably taken in the late 1940's

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love old shots like this - I enjoy seeing how people used to dress, etc. Stop by again soon :).
Perfect start for this new meme. I love the old photos, too. :D
As I have just said to Abe Lincoln - the old photos are loaded with memories.
Patti, you are allowed to shot B&W digitally first hand or convert on the pc. I am a bit of a purist myself but don't expect everyone to be.
Thanks for joining in.
Nice ... and you are right .. from the way the photo was printed -those thick white bands - its definitely late 40s.

I love old black and white pictures like that and what a fun idea to have a weekly meme like that! Such a wonderful picture you're showing us here.
Congratulations on your well deserved award and thank you so much for passing it on to all your readers:-) Like you, I really don't like to pick and choose who to pass them on to! lol
You must be getting so excited about your upcoming trip, less than two weeks away now:-) xoxo
Interesting how they posed for photos in the middle of last century - very stiff and formal. I like family history and this is the sort of thing that it is important to pass down - well notated of course.
Good post for the first MM ...
