Going to the dogs

Me: Honey will you get some dog food today
Him: Ok
Me: You know what kind she likes right?
Him: Yea, but what flavors do I buy
Me: It doesn't matter she likes it all, just make sure you get the right brand
Him: Ok

So I go off to work thinking how hard can buying pet food be. He knows I get paid on Fridays, and he knows we try to watch our money, so I am "assuming" (never assume where a man is concerned) that he will buy about 10 cans of food for the dog. (she eats twice a day)

I come home and the receipt is sitting on the table, and the hubby is so proud. He has bought TWENTY FIVE CANS OF DOG FOOD!!

Me: Uh honey, why did you buy so many cans of food. I wasn't planning on spending this much on pet food this week
Him: Well you said she eats twice a day
Me: Yes honey but you were suppose to only buy enough to last until Friday.
Him: Oh, well I guess I got my math wrong
Me: Biting my lip and trying not to hit him with a can of food wondered...WHEN DID TWO TIMES SIX BECOME TWNETY FIVE
Me: Uh honey...Where did you put the cats food
Him: You didn't say anything about cat food.
Me: Honey (taking a deep breath). The cats have to eat too
Him Oh
Me: cussing softly and muttering under my breath about how I hadn't planning on going to the store tomorrow on my day off and this is why I sent him today..GRRRRR
Sorry girls...It's dry again tonight.

Cute story, Patty. It reminded me of an experience I had when I was in high school. I was my daddy's girl!!! He'd go to the grocery store on Saturdays sometimes when we needed something.

WELL--one Saturday, when he got home from buying the groceries, Mama fussed at him for not getting what she wanted. I hollered at my mother: "Don't fuss at Daddy. If he didn't get what you wanted, you needed to go yourself." Obviously I got into trouble over that---but I truly meant it... I loved my Mama --but Daddy was very special.

Maybe your kitty can eat some dog food this week. Ha Ha Ha.
Hugs,
Betsy

That is funny Betsy, and so true. I should have known better and went myself Giggle. The kitty's are pouting this morning, but I will go by the store later today and get them some can food.
Thanks for stopping by :)
