The weekend

I swear I must be the most boring person on planet earth. I can't think of anything to blog about today. Hmmmm lets see. I ate, I slept, I worked, I ate I slept I worked again..Yep that about covers it..So how was your weekend?

Ok, I'm just teasing. I did have a little bit more going on than that, but not much.
After having off Wednesday and Thursday I hit out being stuck with working all weekend. Yuck. I really did have a boring day yesterday, I worked, and did laundry. Big deal.

Today wasn't as bad on boredom. We run a short staff on weekends at the store I work at so it was just myself and one other cashier along with the store manager, and two clerks in fish, and one guy on the floor to run the entire place. We had just enough customers to be steady but not slamming busy, and the day was ok. We did have a bit of trouble first thing this morning when our computers went down, but they got that running and the rest of the day was smooth.

I didn't have to cook tonight because My ex had bought a turkey for Thanksgiving but didn't cook it. My mom had invited him to the family dinner with us so he decided to cook it today. His lady friend had come from North Carolina to spend the weekend, and the two of them made a yummy dinner for all of us.

After we ate I came home and dug out all my Yule/Christmas decorations. I have a fake tree in storage over at my moms. It is about 8 years old and the stand is broken on it. I've been stuffing a piece of cardboard under it the last couple of years to make it even. I've been kicking around the idea of getting a new one, but really didn't want to spend the money. As it turns out I won't have to. Both my ex and my daughters boyfriend got me a tree this weekend.
The one my ex got is really cute and stands about 4 ft. It is in a ceramic- pot and is what I call a "Charlie Brown" tree. Tall and skinny. Cute enough to use as a decoration, but not big enough for "Santa" to put presents under. However it is one of those pre-lite ones and looks ok so I am thinking of putting it on as a table.

My daughters boyfriend did a little better in his choice of trees. The one he got is still not very full, but I think once I get the garland and ornaments on it, it will be pretty.
It's 6 ft tall. It is also a pre-lite tree. He got it at his job really cheap. I told him to keep it and put it up at his house but plans on getting a real one, so he brought this one to me.. He spoils me almost as much as he does my daughter. He took her to Target this week and bought her over 300.00 worth of Christmas things, including a tree and all the trimmings. Lucy gal huh. Anyway
I will post some photos one I get them decorated. I'm heading to bed

Wait a minute...first, so ex and lady friend made nice? And what about your daughter's boyfriend? They make up?

Sounds like you are a lucky lady too. I need a new tree but I will see.

Have a great week.
Take care, Meow

I don't think you are boring. But I agree that LAUNDARY is boring.

Hope you had a nice holiday.
