Life's Lessons
My daughter and I are very close. We are as she lovingly refers to it "Always up each others butt". When she was a little girl she was always "mommy's girl" (her dad will disagree on that and say she was his girl..but we know better) Now that she is grown and has her own son we do almost everything together. We talk, laugh and share a lot. She has always been what I call a ditz, or drifty. She is the blunt of the true blonde jokes, she is always like DUH. I blame it on the fact that she didn't live with me full time during her teenage years. Her dad and I divorced when she was 13 and she choose to live the first year with him. I suppose men just talk about different things to a daughter than a mom would.
Little things like which animals have live births and which ones lay eggs.
Or how to keep flowers fresh once you have cut them. (In his defense I know he was to busy trying to find her and keep her out of trouble as she was a rebellious child, but that is a post for another day)
Anyway those little lessons in life made themselves apparent this week when my daughter and I were at the farm/zoo (see photos in previous post). WHen we got to the rabbit pen she very seriously asked "Do rabbits lay eggs or do they have babies". Well duh I told her...Where do you think all those Easter eggs come from. No, seriously she asked and I told her, laughed and moved on. Well we have giggled about that all week.
Then last night we were all sitting around her apartment when she announced to her boyfriend. Oh by the way, I tried freezing the flowers like you told me to, but they looked like crap so I threw them away. Of course I squealed like a Pig, and in a loud voice said. YOU CAN'T FREEZE FLOWERS..well duh, they looked bad mom. Her boyfriend chimmed in. But I got them out of a freezer at the store. I said to him Brandon, that was a refrigerator not a freezer. Well DUH, It seems he told her if she would put them in the freezer they would close back up and then re-bloom. I don't know who was worst, him for saying it or her for believing it.
God help me if they have kids. Blonde's run in our family, and if these two marry, Insanity may follow
So how is your week so far?

Funny post! I guess everyone has to learn one way or another.
Thanks for your visit! I too have a daughter I am very close to AND a pug!
That is so cute. I'm always confused about mother/daughter relationships.
My week is going. I'm having trouble trying to figure out blog material but other than that it is good.
that's very funny...don't it make you proud...hahah.
hahahahahahahahaha
I've done my share of blonde, too.
I love the Bunnies lay eggs story *tears streaming down face*
And, you never know - if they do have children, the kids could be Einsteins!
