I've heard of the wild ponies there but this is my first time to see them. Don't they look right at home by the seashore?!
Those books about the island ponies were my favorites, back in elementary school. Great post.

Wild pony swims are something I have been able to see on television now and then and am always in awe of the horses. I love horses and dogs so anything about them is of interest to me. This is a nice photograph.

Beautiful animals in a beautiful setting. There are "wild" horses near us on Cumberland Island in Georgia, but the park service considers them a nuissance animal because they destroy the natural ecosystem and aren't truly native to the island.
