The frosting on the cake

Could it be that my daughter just picks the wrong stores to go to or is she really having a bad week of people with attitude.
Last night she stopped at the local WalMart to purchase a small cake. You know the kind, those ready made cakes that you buy for birthdays without any writing on them.
Well, she picks one and ask the lady behind the counter if she can write Happy Birthday on it. Not a problem she says...Then my daughter ask would she be able to put a flower on it..ONE flower....Here comes Miss Attitude..OUR CAKES ARE ALREADY DECORATED WHEN WE PUT THEM OUT..I CAN'T BE PUTTING NO FLOWERS ON THEM..
Now tell me what is the difference between writing and a flower. Sheesh!!
My daughter was good this time..She said ok thanks anyway and takes the cake with the writing on it..

I told her I would have left the cake and told her never mind I will buy one somewhere else..

People are so weird.

Gee Patty---Is 'trouble' following you and your daughter around??? OR--is it just your week???? I know there are plenty of rude people in this world--but hey, enough is enough. Maybe you two need to go back to the Mariners Museum--where the figurines can't talk to you!!!! ha ha

How old is your daughter? Is she like her mother???? I always wanted a daughter and had THREE SONS. Oh Well.

Sorry about the bad experiences. I hope next week brings you two nothing but SMILES.

Any update on the 7/11 thing???
Hugs,
Betsy

It does seem like it's not her (or your) week! Maybe your daughter has a gentle face that people might mistake for weakness? Maybe internet shopping would be the solution to the problem for this week? It might save her from any more unpleasantness xXx

Grrrrr! She might have said I can't make no flowers cuz I don't know how, or all that there frosting is in the safe and it don't open til tomorrow. If those were true, of course. But not to make one just because is pretty sad.

Your daughter is having a heck of a week. Can't believe that woman couldn't either put 1 stinking flower on the cake or at least say no nicely!!

They probably just have the basic icing bag and tip and don't have the right tips for flowers. People know how to write already (or at least I hope so) but making flowers is a whole other ballgame. Even after doing it for weeks my roses looked like cabbages! Still, it would have been nice if they could have complied.
