Isn't it fun to have left-over money -after paying the bills??? We budget (strictly since we both retired early) and do quite well. BUT--we are frugal and pay our credit cards totally OFF every single month. Not paying all of that interest helps!!!!
In past years, I would have cash in my wallet--and at the end of the month, I had no idea where it went. Then--I stopped carrying much cash. This way, we keep up with all of our money... That also helps!!!
Good Luck--and don't go out and spend that extra money... ha

Oh I wish I could say that! I seem to have never have any money left over once my bills are paid and usually I'm still without many groceries!
