Weekend Chit Chat

Most of my weekends seem to fly by, but for some reason this one has been sooooo long. I'm not big on the 4h of July, so we stayed pretty low keyed. I opted to grill burgers on Friday night and had left overs so yesterday I threw some hot dogs on the grill and re-heated the burgers and called it a day. My daughter and I started the day out by planning a trip to take my grandson to the local petting farm, but when we got there they were closed. Who the heck closes a park on the Fourth of July.
Anyway since that fell through we stopped at a couple of thrift stores and wound up at Sears, so Rebecca could buy her some elastic waist shorts. She is already popping out of hers.

I can't believe how fast she is showing with this baby. According to her cycle she is only 8 weeks, but I have a feeling that she is farther along. Either that or there is more than one. Her boyfriend is a twin, so we are holding our breath.
She is suppose to go to the DR. on the 15, and we are hoping she gets the ok on her application for Medicaid by then so she can keep the appointment.

I've been busy trying to clean out my spare bedroom. I still have a baby bed in there from when Cody used it, so I will leave that and plan on adding a twin bed for him to sleep in now. My ex has got him started on spending the night once a week with him, and now he wants to choose a night to stay with me too. I am having a hard time finding a place for all he junk in that room, and really need to throw away about half of it.
I have more books than I will ever read, and tend to be a pack rat. I need to just take a deep breath and give them to the thrift store. I have to admit that I am a bit overwhelmed with all the junk in the room and find it easier to just close the door.
In my dreams I live in a big house like this

Ok, well maybe not that big, since it would be a lot to clean, but we do need more space. This apartment is only 950 sq. ft. I would like to add at lest 50 sq ft when we move again.

Anyway we had a long boring weekend.

Hmmmm...I'm with you, I think she's farther along than she says or there's twins in there! She looks more to be 4 months!! No doubt you and she are looking forward to the doctor appointment to find out what's going on:-)

I know how hard it is to get rid of stuff but believe me, once it's done, it's such a great feeling. Also, you won't even miss what you got rid of...I've always said what you don't see, you don't miss!!

I'd love to live in a big house like that too but only if I had a maid to clean it! lol xoxo

Hey Patty, IF you could live in that huge house (Isn't that the Gov. Mansion at W'burg????)---you wouldn't have to worry about cleaning it.. You'd have a house-full of MAIDS and SERVANTS... ha ha

My BFF Judy's daughter got pregnant and there's no husband.. She ended up with twin boys. BUT--she has TONS of state and federal help with those babies including formula, money for diapers and other things, money for daycare, etc. etc. etc. It's amazing how much help she is getting. She was also given a huge tax credit to buy a small condo recently. AND--this girl has a mediocre job at best and has no good credit. BUT--she's getting tons of help. Maybe your daughter can get help like this also...

Hugs,
Betsy

I don't know, Patty, I gained a lot of weight right away with my first son - I looked much farther along than I actually was. I ended up gaining 60 lbs with him. But with my 2nd son, I didn't gain too much weight, everything was more normal [weight-wise].

I'm glad to know that she is doing good!
