Happy Birthday Mom

Today is my moms birthday, and even though she doesnt read this blog I couldn't let the day go by without some mention of her. My mom is one of those people who has always been there for me when I needed her. When I was growing up she was one of those perfect TV moms. Our house was always clean, supper was always on the table by five and we went to church every Sunday. My mom worked when I was really little but I only vaguely remember that. It seems like she was always around. She married my dad when she was only 16 and had me when she was 18. She didn't go back to work until I was a teenager and then it was only part time for a few years. Since then she has always stayed home. Sometimes I think her life has been sheltered, but I'm glad she was the kind of mom I could depend on. Even though we only live about 45 minutes away from each other I don't get to see her as often as I would like. She is getting older now and I worry about her. I lost my dad two years ago, and can't help but wonder if I will have many years left with my mom. She seems to be in good health, but life is so fragile and you just never know.
So today I want to share my mom with everyone. She was probably about 13 in this picture. Look at that blonde hair!
Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday to your mom...she certainly was beautiful as a young teen!! Like you, my mom doesn't live very far from me but I don't get to see her very much anymore since she met Ross...he keeps her too busy bringing her out! lol I miss my times with her but then I'm also glad that she's happy again.
