Knobby Knees

Getting old sucks. My body keeps screaming out to me that it is not young any more. I have aches and pains in places I didn't know existed. The latest is my knees. It seems I have arthritis in the right one and a tiny bit starting in the left one. I have suspected it for sometime now and this last week the Dr. confirmed it. For awhile now my knees have looked knobby and the right one swells and puffs up. I looked in the mirror the other day and thought to myself..God my legs are so ugly.
My thighs are fat, I have varicose veins, and my knees are lumpy..What a mess.
When I was young my legs were so pretty. Long lanky and up to here. I wore mini skirts and short shorts. Now I hide them in jeans or carpi's. On well at lest they don't sag like my boobs. I guess time just has a way of getting away from us. This photo was taken around 1975 I was around 21 or 22.

The one below it is of my daughter taken last year at age 21. It was taken FOUR WEEKS after she gave birth to her son! Can you believe how good she looked.

I'm jealous. I want my pretty legs back

I don't why we all age different.

I always thought I would be complete grey. My looks tend to favor my father who greyed quite young, he was solid white before he was 30. I've only got few streaks of grey.

One day I was looking at an old photo of my self and I was a lot lighter.
It actual made me depress because how I've let my self go.

I keep telling my boys that I once was a lot thinner.

My legs have never been great but I had the flatest tummy when I was younger but really if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't. Being in the low 20s was hard work.

My legs have never looked that great, but my boobs... I know what you mean. I'm only 38 and the aging is getting more visible by the day! :-)
