Very interesting I love posts with stories - I don't really have a story this week!!
Gosh, I haven't even thought of what picture I'll put up for the Hunt tomorrow...my wallet is empty, I wonder if I should use that! lol The history behind that cell is so very interesting!!! xox
How wonderful to read about, it's like we were there in person!! Fantastic hunt project.

Don't ask me why I think that..
Interesting story behind it all too!

This room is already part of history. 1867, and the room looked so preserved.
Great idea. I love learning a little history. Thanks so much!

I've driven by that exit on the way to Williamsburg but haven't ever been there. Nice picture for this week's theme.

This one is far too strong for me to comment -if you understand..
I am down your way often (my brother and his family live in Virginia Beach) but have never stopped there. Great pictures!

Wow, that is definitely the bare minimum, looks like a place for a spiritual retirement of some sort. But with the cell's history I doubt it can ever be empty as it may be full of memories.
I never knew this! Amazing what one can learn in blogs :)
Hope you have a great week!
Autumn, what a great post. It's cool that you were able to visit this place and take these photos. Thanks for sharing them and the interesting story that goes with the room.
Having read a bit of your profile, it seems we have a lot in common. I will be back soon to read some of your back posts.
thanks for the pic and the great history of it, $100.000 dollars sure was a lot of money in 1867.
thanks for visiting us too.
Thanks for sharing, very interesting stuff.
Have a great week.
Take care, Meow
For a cell that looks nice, I was thinking it's a little cold maybe but it's a nice room.
Cool place to visit.
Thanks for visiting my blog. (http://aquarius2626.blogspot.com/)
Nice Blog Header! I really like it.
Neat bit of history there.
Even though it is furnished with regular furniture it has the air of a cell.
Thanks for sharing & visiting mine.
Frances
Thanks for dropping by. Please come again often!
I am so glad you appreciated the piece on Ostara.
When it came to the contest I put the writing of the Ostara piece first, and I made my contest piece to fit around my story. So I was not upset when I got voted "off the island"
Cheers!
That is a great take on Empty. Thanks for visiting my blog.
What a great photo! That is the most take on the theme I've seen and I love the history lesson that went with it. Thanks for sharing :)
