Sad Heart
It is with a sad heart that I write today. I lost yet another friend at Christmas. My friend Cathy passed away this morning from complications of a bad liver. She was just about to be on the list at number 1 for a transplant when she had the complications. I had not stayed in touch often with her since we were teenages but she was still a big part of my life and I will miss her

I'm so sad to hear that. My brother died of liver disease and didn't even make it to the list. I was ready to give him part of my liver, except we were different blood types. It is so hard to see people go before their time. I expect the greatest thing we can hope for is to leave people with lots of great memories of us and how we lived our life.
Sending you condolences on the loss of your friend who was so close to getting a new lease on life. Prayers to her family.
Oh Patty, I'm so sorry. It's so hard to lose loved ones --especially at Christmas. I lost one of my brothers and my mother at Thanksgiving --so that made that holiday a harder one for me.
Hope you and your family DID have a great Christmas despite the deaths.. It won't be long in 2010 when you will have another grandbaby... Can you believe it????

Sorry to hear of your loss Patty - it's always sad to lose a friend and I guess this something that happens to us more and more as we get older.
