Happy Ostara

Happy Ostara to all of my Pagan Friends. Happy Spring Equinox to everyone else.

Just in case you didn't know this already. Twice a year, day and night become equal in length.
The first of these, the Spring or Vernal Equinox occurs on or about March 21st.
The ancient goddess, Eostre, a Saxon deity who marked not only the passage of time but also symbolized new life and fertility, was the key symbol of this celebration which was also known as Ostara.
For fun try balancing an egg on its end today.
Both Pagans and Christians use eggs as a part of the clebrations that occur this time of year.
I have always dyed eggs, I remember having Easter Egg hunts when I was growing up, and when I became a mom I always hid them for my kids. Somewhere in a box I have some pictures of the kids dressed up with an Easter Basket. When I have time I will find them and scan them.
While visiting Dirt Under My Nails
I found the following link.
Natural Egg Dye
Thanks to for sharing that with us Maria.
Enjoy your day everyone
