Time for changes

As the wheel turns so do the pages of my life..Hmmmm, that sounds like an opening line from a soap opera. Wait I think that was a line from a soap opera, and if it wasn't it should be. The way my life has been lately I feel like I am living in a soaper most of the time anyway.
On the serious side, things are about to change again. I have been living in a some what in between world the last few weeks and it is has been hard on everyone. Lots of chaos. I mean transition (thanks for that outlook Connie) going on and I have been anxious to get back to normal, or at lest somewhat normal. Part of that transition time has been spent waiting for my daughter to stabilize with her job and my hubby to get started with his. Thankfully both of those things have happen, and now it is my turn. I have been anxious for awhile now to get back to work, and today I got the call I had been waiting for. I GOT A JOB!!
I start work on Friday. YES!!
I am doing the happy dance. I am so sick of being broke and sitting around twiddling my thumbs. Don't get me wrong. I love keeping my grandson, and it is going to kill me for his mommy to put him in a day care but I am so ready to be the grown up again I can't wait. I want my own life back. I want my own place to live, I want my boxes unpacked and I want my life to be back to normal. I just want peace and a chance at some kind of happiness in my life. I don't think that is asking to much. I have had my share of bad times and I am sick of them. I am not getting any younger and I want NORMAL!
Anyway I am excited about the job. I will be working for one of those large pet supply stores. You know the kind where people bring there dogs in on Saturday and walk around. It is one of those stores that have customers who spoil Fluffy and Max by bringing them in to pick out the new toy. I am a sucker for animals so I know I am going to love this job. I will be doing something I like for a change and not having to deal with little old ladies looking for the right size bra, or bratty little kids telling mom and dad that they won't wear a pair of jeans unless it has the latest fashion brand name on it. I will be working with crazy people like myself who think that there dog is just a big kid and should have a new toy just because he pooped outside and not on the carpet! Of course I am sure the job will have a down side, like cleaning up the poop that they did on the nice pet stores floor, but we will deal with that when the days comes. For now I am in doggies heaven.

You so deserve to be happy!! I am so glad you are going to have a job that you will enjoy. Actually I would love to have a job like that one. I am animal crazy.

I bet you are going to have lots of stories to post about your experiences at work.

Take care,
Connie

I find as I get older that 'normal' is the place I belong. All of us have a different definition of normal, but mine is like yours; my own space and some control! Many congratualtions on the job; I'd love doing something like that, too!
