More weekend fun

As I mentioned in my last post it was a beautiful weekend. After the thrift store shopping my daughter and I took my grandson to the park where he had a blast playing on the slide. I don't know who had more fun, him or his mom.

Sunday, My grandson had to go visit the sperm donor (his dad) so my daughter, her boyfriend, my husband and myself decided to go to Williamsburg.

<

We stopped at Pierce's Barbecue first for lunch and had a yummy barbecue sandwich.

From there it was on to the Colonial area, where we spent the afternoon walking around.

Come tour with me!

Yes this last photo is of my daughter and myself.
Do you think we got in trouble for shopping to much!

Also I don't know if I have mentioned it before but my ex-husband was a gardener in Colonial Williamsburg for many years. He has some wonderful photos of that area, (and also if you follow the links to other parts of this area along with some family photos)
Here is the link to his page

I'm glad they let you out of the stocks.

I would love to go to Williamsburg. I've never managed to see it. Thanks for the tour.

So wonderful a time it looks like you had! You have a beautiful daughter and grandson.

I have always loved Williamsburg. The first time I went I was 5. That was when I decided I wanted to live in Virginia. I've made it back a few times, but not permanently...yet!

Thank you for sharing.

Pierce's BBQ is the BEST BBQ in the country, hands down. We are practically neighbors!

Looks like a very, fun day. At least until the stockade! Better control that spending.

Was that at Deer Park in Newport News? That's where I broke my arm New year's Eve.

We LOVE Williamsburg - we have been three times so far. I hope to get in one more trip perhaps early summer (to use our 1 year passes one more time!). Lady Rose

Where is that? We are always looking for new parks to take the twins to. Especially when we are in other areas besides Va Beach.

Chris
Get off at the Oyster Point exit..follow it all the way down cross jefferson, then keep going and cross warwick. Once you cross warwick (oyster point) it turns into Boxley dr. go to the end and turn left..follow that up just a little ways and you will see a high school on the right..the park is across the street from it..It is a great park for the kids..
Also there is a farm in Hampton that is free with animals I don't know how to tell you to get there..I just know how to go to it lol, but I can get street names and tell Michelle if you want to know....It is free, Cody loves it, I have some photos in my archives of him there a few weeks ago
