This weeks theme is
WATER. You can join the photo hunt by going
and view the blog list for them on my side bar.
Welcome to Hampton Roads Virginia. We are surrounded by water. The Atlantic Ocean, The Chesapeake Bay and the James River, are just a few of the bodies of water you will find here. I have taken dozens of photos of the water in our area, and when it came time to select one for this weeks hunt I just couldn't make up my mind. I am posting a sampling for you to enjoy...

Those are all fantastic pictures! I just love Virginia. Been across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge once and it was very, very impressive though a little creepy at times because there was also some fog!
Loved your pictures and your area. My mom lives in Va. Beach so we head up in the direction frequently.
Very beautiful sceneries, especially the 'mirror lake' one.
It looks like a peaceful place to me...
What a beautiful area! Thank you for the tour! Marking that as one the places I want to visit now!
Happy Saturday!

The first picture is stunning!!! Is that a hallowed out tree stump in the last? I love the ducks in the puddle, seems like something in a child's book. Great photos. You are very lucky to live near so much water. Have a nice weekend.

Wonderful selection of water pictures ! You are really lucky to live in such a beautiful place ! We have to drive about 80 miles (100 km)to see the sea (Belgium) that's not very far though.

Great Photos! All of them so beautiful. I love the one of the sunset on James River,Newport News Park and the one of your grandson is so cute.
Thanks for stopping by.
I haven't yet deiced what I'm putting up for water.
I know it won't be for a while I need to go to work this morning.
I didn't see the ocean till I was 26 years old.
So much to comment about, but I'm going to focus on the horses. I have heard so much about them (and my son visited there but never sent even 1 photo!) but to see an actual photo is powerful. They look so healthy, powerful and proud!
What great pictures, thanks for sharing! It makes me miss my brother and his family, I can't wait to get back there!
Thanks for visiting my blog! You outdid yourself with water-nice little tour there. : )
I recognize many of these pictures, even that Bass pro shop. I love the water along the James River and there is a little park in Williamsburg with some fabulous views.
I loved all of your "water" photos...the last one was awesome...I've always loved a Bass Pro Shop and this is a neat feature!
Oh my! No wonder you couldn't decide which one to use! All of them are so good. Of course I love the horses :)
Happy Hunting!
what a beautiful set of pics!
My fav was Man made lake in Va. Beach at Mt. Trashmore park
Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Autumn. Thanks for sharing all these great photos. It must be a blessing to be surrounded by water.
I remember my first son's contact with the sea. He was a little afraid at first but he gradually realized how fun it is to play in the water.
Take care!
What a terrific tour ... Mom's never been east past the Mississippi River ... It's interesting how the two coasts are so similar in their water features (but your ocean water is so much warmer). So much for Sunny San Diego, huh?
Thanks for visitin' my blog today!

I don't blame your grandson for not being impressed with the ocean water, I never liked it either. I like the horses by the beach and the boat ramp at Newport News Park.
Oh wow, this is a visual feast. Love them all especially the man made lake.
All of your pictures are beautiful! Wow--wild horses on the beach...that is awesome!
Beautiful photos! Great array of gorgeous scenery!!
Thanks for visiting me!
Great pictures! Several of them would make great jigsaw puzzles.
Great shots! I love the ducks in the puddle :)
Oh it is so pretty. We have to drive about 30 minutes to find any water well except the river and that isn't the prettiest site.
What a great series of pictures.
Hope you are well.
Take care, Meow
I enjoyed this WATER tour!
