Shhhh Don't Tell My Mother

Shhhh You can't tell my mom...She will fuss at me..Shhhh if my sister is reading this..You can't tell mom...She will fuss at me..
I got a pug puppy yesterday SHHHHH....Don't tell mom. Seriously..Don't tell...

Meet Lucy

Lucy is a 9 month old pure breed pug..She came to me very unexpected..Day before yesterday a customer came through my line at work. I asked her the usual question
What kind of dog do you have? Three pugs she replied...Oh that is what my husband and I want, I told her..Blah Blah Blah...
Chit chat chat..I am not sure what I told her really. I talk a lot and I am always talking pets with my customers..Anyway she went on to tell me that she had three pugs, and that the youngest one was a 9 month old fawn color female. That they had only had her a couple of weeks and that her husband was really upset because he didn't want the dog but she had got it anyway from someone out of the paper. She had paid four hundred dollars for her..Oh wow I said..That is pretty cheap, and went on to tell her how maybe I could get one after the holidays but couldn't afford one now.
Anyway we talked a few minutes and she left...Well first thing yesterday morning when I got to work in walked this same lady..She approached me and told me that her husband told her she had to get rid of the young pug..and that she was wondering if I would take her...It took me by surprise and I told her I'm sorry but I can't buy a dog right now..Oh I know she said..I asked her how much she planned on selling her for..and the next thing I know this lady is crying..I mean tears down her cheeks, boo hoo crying..She said she wants me to take the dog for what ever I feel like I can give her money wise...That she had been praying about it and that God has put it on her heart to let me have this pug... that it would be a blessing if I took her and gave her a good home...Blah Blah Blah...By now I am speechless, and in shock..Oh shit I'm thinking..I want a pug, but what will I do with a dog..Uhhh ohhhh, gosh..My mind is racing...I told her well I might be able to offer her a hundred dollars (thinking to myself, I don't really have a hundred dollars as I have bills due and own my mom money(This is why i say..DON'T TELL MY MOM I GOT A DOG..CAUSE I FEEL BAD THAT I SPENT THE MONEY ON A DOG...SHHHH) Anyway this woman is seriously wanting me to take this dog..and I am over whelmed I asked her If I could see the dog so she goes home and gets her..Well of course I fall in love..I told her I would have to talk to my husband, and that I will call her..
Well by the end of the day I was excited, and when I told my daughter what was going on she told me quick lets go get the dog..Well without talking to my hubby I went and got the dog and surprised him..
We named her Lucy and she is wonderful
she is completely House broke, is really sweet and loves my grandson to death..She licks and kisses all over him. It was love at first site for them, and my daughter is thrilled. She said the dog and her son can grow up together.
Lucy has papers and was born on New Years Eve last year. She even has a pedigree. She is AKC registered and has a micro chip...She does need to have her shots brought up to date, but we have a vet that comes on Saturdays to our store, and I get a discount on the shot so that won't cost much at all. I got her a cage and she slept all night and went into it today while I was at work..
She is in heat right now and has to wear a cloth diaper and pad, so we will probably get her fixed in a few months. I am entertaining the idea of breeding her next summer instead, but we will have to wait and see how it goes..
In the mean time my kittens are traumatized and the oldest one won't come out of the bedroom. Hopefully that will change in a few day as they get more use to each other. Right now Lucy barks at them and they hiss at her..
Anyway more on her later..but right now Michelle..DON'T TELL MOM....I will tell her after I get some of the money I owe her paid back...
I just couldn't pass up a pug. We have the orginial paper work and the first owner paid 1,300.00 for her at a local pet store..

Do you think dogs should look like ther owners?

Awww, Lucy is such a cutie, you are very lucky. I hope the cats get used to her soon ... do watch their claws and Lucy's eyes, though ... Pugs have such boggle-eyes, and cats can be so nasty (I've seen this happen, don't laugh !!) ... and you know I am a huge cat lover !!!
Enjoy your new baby, and I hope she brings you lots of fun and happiness.
Have a great weekend.
Take care, Meow

Congratulations on your new "baby"! And, if owners look like their dogs, then I want to look like my collie :)

Aww Man are you in trouble. I wont tell Mom, but you better hope that dog doesn't bark while you are on the phone with Mom. She is not going to be happy about it,. You know her and pets. Oh, and when you do tell her, I knew nothing about it, don't get me in trouble too .

She's really cute though :)

I know mom hates dogs, Shhhhh...that is why I don't want her to know about Lucy. I feel really bad cause I owe her money, but I just couldn't pass this dog up for a hundred bucks. Everyone said getting her that cheap was like winning the lotter. And she is completly housebroken and trained to sleep in her kennel..So she is really good. Her and Cody are best friends..She loves him, kisses him every time she sees him and he tries to play tug toy with her
Anyway I will tell mom someday/in about a year or two lol
Actually Jason knows, so I figure he will tatle...Both Rebecca and John told him..Dare family...they can't keep there mouty shut :)
